November Cat of the Month 2025 - Fall Meditation

  As daylight grows shorter, here in the northern hemisphere, everything seems to wind down: Bird migrate away, leaves fall, the weather turns colder and gray... For everything in life, there is a season. Impermanence is the hallmark of existence, and the more we try to hold on to what was, the faster it slips through our fingers. Bodhi Cat remembers impermanence; warming himself on sunny days, playing with friends - some of whom seem to have gone away and have not returned. Friends and other good things come into our lives, and then they disappear. It has always been this way, and that is the meditation of Fall.

September '25 Cat of the Month Calendar Wallpaper - Bodhi the Watchman!

  Finally... My mind has been in too many places at once, but at least Bodhi is always there to watch my back. He keeps an eye on things when I'm working in yard, feeding animals, trying to find a leak under the house...Bodhi is the watchman, protecting me as best he can. He earned his spot as Cat of the Month for September, 2025. Probably the year, too!

August 2025 Cat of the Month Calendar Wallpaper - Farm Cat

  Summer is chugging along and the days are already getting shorter. Perhaps I notice it more because I'm out and about at all hours and because I live north of the 45th parallel but in any case, the cats and I have to make small tweaks to task schedules every week. But at least the weather is mostly okay although it still seems less predictable than in the past. Future generations may look back at us and shake their heads, saying we should have known what we were doing, but here we are.

  Like me, the feral cats are getting old and tired and cranky. Our brown tabby tractor operator looks like he's angry but really he might be worried about the camera pointing in his direction. That's how he became Cat of the Month for August, 2025.

July Cat of the Month Calendar Wallpaper 2025 - Feral Cat Supper

  It took me all month to finally take a photo that worked, or at least that's how I felt. The older I get, the more critical I become regarding my work. And i'm getting really old. My birthday is this month but it's decades past enjoying the count.

  Anyway, I got lucky and finally got this photo. There are many more feral cats behind and around this one, but the light chose one shorthair kitty, who is just enjoying her meal. Thus we have the July Cat of the Month calendar wallpaper...
