Another pic of Fran, the rescued feral kitten, who seems to be contemplating something. ...Perhaps she is wondering if she will ever have a home of her own. I know she'd be a good pet for someone.
Since she was 8 to 10 weeks old when she was rescued, she's a bit shy around strangers. She disappears, actually! But once she gets to know a person, she's very affectionate. It just takes some time - and some people don't want to make the effort.
Fran hides, she's shy!
I wish you could have better luck finding good homes for your ferals. Notice I said "good". To me, not just any home is acceptable. A feral cat needs a special home that will adapt to him/her as he/she adapts to them. However, that does make it more difficult to place them. They do make the best pets in my humble opinion, if someone is willing to work with them.
ReplyDeleteits so hard to find adopters that truly love cats and want to make an effort.. they always want adoptions to be easy and perfect.. its sad. i've had cats returned because of that. very disappointing.
ReplyDeleteThis is a beautiful cat!! These are the times when I wish so much I didn't rent! No cats allowed :-(
ReplyDeleteI love your work..all of it!!!
