This tabby mom is super-smart and has managed to avoid my traps for years. She's a great mom, too.
Her children, up to this point anyway, have been caught and fixed but she's just too smart for her own good. We keep trying, however.
I wish she's let herself get caught but we still love her for being just about the best mother a kitten could have.
Lovely shot. This reminds of a big cats in the savannah of Africa. My feral is wily too when it comes trapping. They get smarter as the years go by.
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet picture of mommy and her babies. I'm glad she is a good mom. I wonder if female cats grow through menopause as humans do and stop reproducing at a certain age.
ReplyDeleteThis is really cute. Hopefully you'll catch her one day!
ReplyDeleteYep, I am still trying to trap the probable daddycat in my backyard. I see Mama Katz every few days and she looks fine, but he has a non-healing wound behind an ear that I wish we could take a look at but it will have to wait til he's trapped and under anesthesia...
ReplyDeleteThe last of MamaKatz's babies just went to his furrever home and that feels great!
