You don't even have to ask, you can tell that these are very old feral cats just be looking at them... the disheveled fur, the tired watery eyes, the walk... but with everything they've been through for perhaps almost two decades, the one constant is they have always remained friends. Through hot summers and cold wet winters, there was always that friend there to curl up with, to watch your back, to make you feel better when you were sick. In this hard, cruel world, true friends are the best that life has to offer.
