Two feral kittens, all that is left of their litter, play together in the forest. Little friends, happy to be alive, can still enjoy a game. Even though danger lurks around every bush... sometimes it's better to just enjoy life and not to think about the bad stuff too much. At least, that is how I feel.
There are a thousand things to be afraid of, to be sad about, to cry over ...maybe the kittens have a lesson for us; to let go of all those things over which we have no control - and enjoy life, naturally....
"Play with me..."
It seems like it was only yesterday when mommy was there to keep them warm, to give them milk, to comfort and soothe. Now all they have is each other.
For the kittens - and for us - the lesson may be this: Whatever we have here and now; it must be sufficient.
Oh my goodness they are very beautiful.. Hugs GJ xx
ReplyDeleteJust discovered your blog form a mention on another one.
ReplyDeleteVery poignant today.
Bless you for taking care of these cats!
Wow...just wow...
ReplyDeleteThank you, all. Whatever life gives us today, we'll keep making the most of it.
ReplyDeleteSuch sweet little souls...
ReplyDeleteAre these the same kittens from awhile back? Who's mother vanished?
I remember from one of the posts that you mentioned the little tabby had gone missing after the mini typhoon you had over there. If so I'm glad to see that he has survived and come back to his brother/sister. They seem like such a beautiful little pair.

ReplyDeleteVicki, yes, these are the same kittens. They ARE beautiful, aren't they? The tabby eventually reappeared. And thankfully, they are both still with us.
