A Nest Of His Own

One of our feral tomcats looking at ease; pleased with himself in his own special little nest. It's nice to have a spot where you can get away from the other kitties and just be yourself.

This location is in my sister's front yard, under a tree. There aren't too many cats in this area. I have a few fairy lights (solar powered yard lights) stuck here and there around this somewhat isolated area in an attempt to reduce coyote predation. I have no idea of it helps or not but my working theory is that in a country area without street lights - where it is very dark - ground lights will perhaps confuse or reduce the effectiveness of  coyotes' night vision. I'm probably wrong but I have to try things sometimes.
