Hammie+Tortie, Feral Cat Photo of the Day

bobtail feral cats Hammie and tortie
Two bobtail kitties, Hammie and a tortoise shell, at the feral colony. Hammie is really only semi-feral since he was rescued as a kitten and could easily be someone's pet with a little loving care. The bobtail tortie has been wild all her life.

Hammie is kind of a timid soul but he basically loves people. He would need a lot of time to get to know someone, though. Right now, my sister and I are the only ones who can pick him up and pet him. But he could learn to trust other people with some patience. He's another one of the cats in the colony that was an adoptable kitten at one time but was passed over. So now he's just here.

  1. We hope Hammie keeps learning to trust people. It would be great if he could find a nice forever home...

  3. Thank you. Yes, Hammie is a sweet little guy, really. He looks like a miniature bobcat to me, except he's very timid. Of course, real bobcats are on the timid side, too, so there's that. :)
